The Sillianer hut was first established in 1986 as a replacement for the then dilapidated Hinterberger hut. The building itself is only meters away from the Austro-Italian border and is used not only as a staging point for the Höhenweg, but is also a favorite getaway for tourists and locals alike.KHW 403
Close by you will find well-marked paths to “Heimkehrerkreuz” (2.373m), “Helmgipfel” (2.433m), “Hornischeck” (2.551m), “Hollbrucker Eck” (2.573m) and “Kriegerfriedhof Hochgränten” (Soldiers Graveyard WWI).Next Stage
The Obstansersee hut is approximately 3.5 hours hiking time and 8,7km from Sillianer hut.
